Eye examination with the adjustment of contact lenses
An eye test with a contact lens fitting includes:
- a complete, detailed eye examination, after which the patient will receive a prescription for glasses,
- assessment of the anterior segment of the eye in a slit lamp,
- selection of a contact lens appropriate for a given patient,
- learning how to put on and take off contact lenses,
- learning the care of contact lenses,
- starter kit - one-day, two-week or monthly trial lenses,
- control visit.
Contact lenses are a great alternative to glasses and will work well for most patients. The perfect solution for active people, practicing sports and for people who have a severe eye defect, because unlike eyeglass lenses, contact lenses are thin and allow for very good vision quality.
Although contact lenses will work for most patients, there are several contraindications to their use. Certainly, they include allergy, dry eye syndrome or chronic inflammation of the anterior segment of the eye. There are different types of contact lenses on the market. They differ in parameters, size, material, exchange mode and wearing time for which they are intended. Two-week and monthly lenses are a more economical solution, but they require daily, thorough care. For this purpose, you need to obtain a suitable care fluid and a container. Recommended for people who use lenses every day.
